What we supply is governed by the grade, standard and size agreed in your order, and the results for your material are shown in the test certificate issued with that supply. Before you use our data for design, and especially for safety-critical parts such as automotive, lifting, pressure or structural components, please check it against the relevant standard and your own testing, and ask us to confirm in writing.
3. Grade equivalents and standards
Where we compare grades across standards (for example EN, IS, SAE/AISI, DIN or JIS), the grades are close equivalents, not identical. Composition ranges, test methods and property limits differ between standards. Do not substitute one grade for another on the strength of a comparison table alone.
Standards are revised from time to time. A figure we quote may come from an edition that has since been superseded. Your order should name the standard and, where it matters, the edition.
4. Photographs, sizes and stock
Photographs are for illustration. Size ranges, stock positions and lead times on our websites show what we typically produce or hold. They are not an offer, and availability is confirmed only in a written quotation.
